Ironically our author’s callsign 'Stinky' matched his thinking as a teenager. Imperfect thoughts and some emotionally challenging circumstances lead to risky behavior, doubt and an uncertain future.
He grew up in the 70’s and early 80’s in Miami, FL to loving parents whose relationship struggles manifested some turbulence. However, tough love parenting, family mentors and coaches helped him reorient. He course corrected his high school senior year gaining admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy Prep School. Military Training Instructors took over from there.
Lt Col Smith retired with 28 years of service and over 100 combat missions. His new mission is providing parents, guardians, and educators more mentoring resources for healthfully empowering young adults CREATEing their way. He writes with grace and a sense of humor dedicated to our future leaders and educators who inspire worldly self actualization while ensuring that our nation remains a constitutional republic.
