Karen James is a published author, communications strategist, national speaker, leadership coach, and former TV news reporter. She is the widow of mountain climber Kelly James, who died in 2006, despite one of the most extensive search and rescues in mountaineering history. In her book, "Holding Fast: The Untold Story of the Mount Hood Tragedy," she reveals what happened to the missing climbers and how God carried her through the grief.  In "Big He, Little Me," she expands on God's love with a powerful redemptive message for both children and adults. Karen graduated from UCLA and has her Master's Certificate in Executive and Leadership Coaching from the University of Texas in Dallas and her Certification in Spiritual Direction from SMU's School of Theology.
