Ji Khalsa is the founder of Midwoofery, a highly respected science-based educational resource for responsible dog breeders. She has been training and breeding dogs for over 30 years and is an IAABC-accredited dog trainer. Ji’s training experience includes foundational work with puppies, service dogs, therapy and facility dogs, sport and competition, search and rescue, and police dogs.

She completed her graduate work in Microbiology and Biochemistry at Arizona State University and spent 20 years managing large bioscience research projects.

Her first love is teaching and helping others see the joy and wonder of life through the understanding of its biological foundations. She applies her extensive knowledge of genetics, behavior, embryology, development, immunology, and health to helping responsible breeders become informed about science-based breeding and puppy-rearing practices and helping puppy seekers and puppy families find accurate information to inform their decisions.

Ji lives outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is owned by three adorable Goldendoodles, three unruly cats, a BLM Mustang who has way more sense than she does, and a lovable miniature donkey.
