Elizabeth H. Franklin is my pen name. It is a combination of my parents' names and my husband's name. My husband, Frank, and I live with our two dogs in the Greater Tampa Bay Area of Florida.
The romance writing bug bit me when I was in my twenties when I read my first romance novel. It was written by one of my very favorite writers, Kathleen Woodiwiss. I read every book she wrote and then stumbled on another phenomenal author, Johanna Lindsey, and devoured her library of books as well. I was hooked and I wanted to write amazing love stories too.
Alas, paying the bills took precedent and I had to set my dream of being a romance author aside. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to land in a career that I absolutely loved and enjoyed for almost thirty years.
An opportunity arose for me to take an early retirement eight months into the COVID-19 pandemic and I was at a place in my life where I could make it work. I could complete a few items on my to-do list and then launch myself into being an independent historical romance writer with the dream of being a published author. So I did.
With the release of this debut novel, I have succeeded in that goal and gone from being a writer, to an author. The stories are still swirling in my head, I am not wasting any time.
The Determined Pursuit has a sequel presently being written for targeted release in the Winter of 2023/2024 as well as two additional novels completing the love stories of the Tennyson family.
