Elena Elchaninova Hagedorn was born and raised in a large Russian-Christian family in Ukraine. As a young adult, she moved to Russia, where she ministered in a rehabilitation program for teenagers from orphanages and church youth ministry.
In December 2016, God gave Elena a vision about a new movement of His schools and inspired her to put this vision, Rosmarin, in writing. She also has a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's in Christian school administration, and over a decade of experience at Christian schools. Elena's biggest passion is children, their upbringing, and education according to God's plan and for His glory.
Today, Elena and her husband John live in Alabama and have two beautiful, intelligent children.
