Queen Tati the woman behind - "The Clit" Collection is a D.C. Native. Graduating from St. John's University with a B.A. in Sports Management, QT had many challenges and experiences during her college career. Being inducted into the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success in 2012, becoming a basketball manager for the University WBB team her freshman year. To ultimately studying abroad in Rome, Italy where she taught elementary school English. When she is not writing she enjoys being an entrepreneur and learning how to become an motivational speaker for the BQ.L.C.'s and Black women in the LGBTQ community and their true reflection in society and the world.

Queen Tati (QT) came out to her family at the age of 17 about her homosexuality. As it was accepting to some, immediately, others faced an issue and had to get acclimated with this new discovery. In turn she faced many internal struggles because she never quite saw-(and still doesn't) a role model that embodied all of the characteristics of being a proud Black Queen. Lesbian. Christian. (BQ.L.C.) same characteristics that she has accepted as a her identity.

With that being said she decided to change that. This book is a journey on how Queen Tati discovered herself as the proud BQ.L.C that she is today. The college setting was chosen because she experienced her first glimpse of freedom and that sparked the beginning of this life long journey, becoming the voice she has yet to see in her community. Recognizing and respecting the women that unlocked the door before her, she is now taken the opportunity and responsibility to bust the door wide open.

This is just the first step of creating the bridge to understanding and respect which is the ultimate goal in the work she produces. In sharing her journey, QT, hopes to open people's eyes within and out of our community to the experiences, challenges, and struggles we BQ.L.C.'s face within self, society, and the world, don't be surprised if you find some experiences to be parallel to your own.
