Sharde' O'Rourke, LPC, LMFT, LSATP, CCTP is a published author of two books. For over ten years, she has been on tenure as a licensed therapist specializing with African Americans, LGTBQ communities, and couples/relationships. She is the owner of The Mahogany Projek, LLC, The Barefoot Therapist, and also owns and runs an online self-help school. Sharde holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. 

 

Over the years, Sharde has helped numerous individuals to realize who they are and take control of their lives. She offers people a safe environment to explore who they are, what they want to achieve, counter their fears, and optimized their best attributes. Having consulted widely with both individuals and companies on the areas of mental health and wellness, Sharde takes a creative approach to consultancy and offers custom self-help services and courses for the maximum benefit of a client from therapy sessions. 

 

Sharde is reputable for being compassionate, connecting with her clients and creating rapport, and skillfully providing insight on behavior patterns. Currently, she is writing a self-help workbook that guides individuals about who they are and their purpose. 

  

Sharde' is an experience &, eccentric therapist that focuses on the value of growth and self-actualization considering that she has focused her personal life on the same.  Understanding the experience of being a black, female, professional, mother, wife/partner, daughter, owner, friend, etc. has empowered her to write  a book considering someone living in multiple roles and wanting to define who they are and what they want. She has invested in being her best and wants to assist people on their journey of finding, exploring, becoming and maintaining their best-self.
