Hi! I’m Mitzi Henry. I’m a wife and mother of three human babies (all born within a year and a half of each other) and recently added a fur baby to the family. I was born and raised in Northern California, but have called Southern California home for over 12 years.
In my previous life, I coordinated weddings, concerts and planned corporate events. I decided to move to Colombia around the same time and found myself surrounded by the most gorgeous country with the most gorgeous humans that I have ever encountered. Colombia will forever have my heart.
I now have my masters in bilingual education and work for the Manhattan Beach School District. I found this explosion of creativity after my first son was born and once my twins were born I just ached to craft or create something, anything all the time. And so, the Belle Books were born! Belle and the 100 Mile Smile is my first book in a series in progress! My hope for this book is to shed a little light into the special needs world, particularly the Fragile X Syndrome world and to spread awareness about the importance of inclusion, compassion, empathy and love.
