Rosemary Mamie Adkins was born and raised in Houston, Texas, in September 1947. Mamie is the nickname that her brother gave to her, unable to say Rosemary, and it stuck for the rest of my life. Writing has always been a passion, but I was discouraged by my mother saying that girls were not to write but to learn to be homemakers or sales. After having every poem or writing assignment cut up, I gave up until I graduated from High School in 1965 and could move away from home.
Work, further education, and life kept me busy for several years until one day, I picked up the pen again, finding my skills were rusty. Still, I wanted to try again, with being my worst critic. Over the years, I sharpened my skills and, at times, have asked myself, "Who wrote this?" I have published four books, co-authored one that I was writing as a ghostwriter, and have written over twenty-five books as a ghostwriter, so others can fulfill their dreams of publishing their own story. Non-fiction is what I love the most, and I try to have my clients participate in writing their books with me, so they can enjoy the effort it takes to publish a book themselves. I have also gathered a team and have become a publisher so I can help others from start to finish! Nothing in my life could feel more satisfactory than writing except raising my family. If you have questions, I am happy to help you.
