Joe weaves his stories out of his life experience blended with the intricate reality that exists around us.
He grew up reading the works of Piers Anthony, Brian Ball, William Gibson, Larry Niven, and others. It was his interest in the futuristic technologies they brought to life that set Joe’s path in the aerospace industry where he saw science fiction became science fact. However, it was the works of Allan Eckert that grounded him in the reality of the past, the simplicity, the beauty, and the hardships. Whether wrapped in the technology of the future, or anchored in the past, he learned it is the study of our humanity that is the cornerstone of a good book.
Through his career Joe has traveled the globe experiencing many cultures and saw first-hand the mysteries and the mysticism in the world around us. He continues to enjoy life outside his aerospace career through wood working, backpacking, muscle cars, living history, and now thanks to his son, as an author!
