Jace Douglas Johnson is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and a graduate of the prestigious Claremont McKenna College. His bucolic writing style, inspired by his love for Louisiana, has drawn comparisons to William Faulkner and Harper Lee. His imagination was inspired by a childhood of handlining blue crabs on the bayou and dangling from ancient live oaks on coastal cheniers. Jace's passion is storytelling—artful beguiles of pen, paper, and film. Jace is best known for co-writing and producing the film "Little Chenier: A Cajun Story," which was based on his novel manuscript, "Little Chenier, Les Jours De Pemon." Jace currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
