Ingrid Goddard grew up in Montreal, Quebec and now lives in Ottawa, Ontario. Ingrid has been writing short stories and poems since she was a child and has a few published works in literary magazines. She also wrote a piece on Accountability and Oversight of Grants and Contributions Programs and Government for the Financial Management Institute of Canada (FMI) Journal. Ingrid had a severe concussion in 2017 which left her speechless and mentally torn. Her struggles with mental health is an ongoing battle which is why she writes. An advocate for mental health, her books have mental health challenges and potential solutions for some illnesses. Ingrid has one son living in Montreal and is married. She is also medically retired due to the injury suffered in 2017. Despite the professional services provided by many publishers, Ingrid chooses to edit and proof read her own work to demonstrate the capacity of someone who suffers various mental health issues. Every error or incongruence is an effect of her mental state and intentionally left for the reader to see the ups and downs of writing with a disability.
