Matthew Stokes, DNP, CRNA, NSPM-C

Dr. Stokes began his anesthesia career in central Florida and as an officer in the United States Army Reserve. After 5 years of working in Orlando, Florida he relocated with his family to the Midwest to begin working as an independent nurse anesthetist. Since that time, Dr. Stokes has co-developed a vibrant pain practice serving citizens of rural Minnesota after also completing a fellowship in pain management. Dr. Stokes is dual board certified in anesthesia and pain management.

Bryan Hunter, DNP, CRNA, NSPM-C

Dr. Hunter began his pain practice in 2001 after serving eight years as a United States Army nurse anesthetist. He was actively involved in the Minnesota State Opt-out in 2002 and served as a board member for the Minnesota Association of Nurse Anesthetists in 2004. In 2013, Dr. Hunter was a member of the NSPM Exam Item Writing Committee. Dr. Hunter is dual board certified in anesthesia and pain management and has been providing pain management services for 18 years.

John Maye, PhD, CRNA, CAPT (Ret) USN

Dr. Maye has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and is presently serving in his 10th consecutive year as a member of the Editorial Review Board for the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Journal. He has received numerous awards for his research and academic achievements. In 2009 he was awarded the Outstanding Uniformed Faculty Award from the Uniformed Services University Graduate School of Nursing. In 2010 he was awarded Junior Investigator of the Year from the same institution. In 2009, Dr. Maye received the prestigious John F. Garde Researcher of the Year award from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists which recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the practice of anesthesia through research. Dr. Maye chairs the Human Physiology and Pathophysiology Panel for the National Board on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Continued Professional Certification Committee.
