Hello, and thank you for visiting my author page! My name is Amy (Schire) Gleason, and I am the author of the Woodland Hills novel series. I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I started developing my characters when I was just ten years old. My first books were about Joanna, Christopher, Matthew, Lisa, and Phebe as children, and their adventures took place at their school, in their homes, and in their community. Those adventures remained only as drafts, locked away in my personal archives, but I continued to write throughout my high school and college years. Here I found more inspiration for my characters to be young adults, rather than children, and my plans for this novel series were well-underway. These storylines evolved over the next thirty years, each book enduring countless revisions, until they became the finished copies that you hold in your hands today.
I have also written and illustrated several children's books, and two have been published so far. Writing is my favorite hobby, but in real life I am a kindergarten teacher. I live with my husband and two daughters in Stillwater, Minnesota, where I find tremendous inspiration for my stories. I also enjoy running, biking, teaching, scrapbooking, and traveling.
