Dr Amy Gajjar BSc(Hons) MB BS (London) MRCGP (UK) FRACGP FACNEM FASLM
Dr Amy qualified at the Imperial College School of Medicine, University of London. She worked in hospital medicine and as a GP (family physician) for several years before deciding to experience working and living abroad. In Sydney, Australia, she undertook postgraduate training with ACNEM (Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine), ASLM (Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine) and the IFM (Institute for Functional Medicine). Dr Amy attained her Fellowship with ACNEM and ASLM and is an International Board of Lifestyle Medicine Certified Physician. She is also a Lecturer, Examiner and part of the Education Faculty for ACNEM.
Dr Amy has appeared on Australia’s Channel 7 “House of Wellness” show and enjoys presenting for the public in community workshops, seminars, retreats and corporate organisations, as well as writing for magazines (including Fitness First, Prevention). She is also a Medical Advisor to “Dance Health Alliance”, a not-for-profit organisation that facilitates dance programs in care homes and community classes to improve quality of life and mind-body balance for people with neurological conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s and Multiple sclerosis. Dr Amy also enjoys yoga and is a qualified yoga teacher (Hatha and Kundalini).
Dr Amy integrates mainstream and functional medicine with coaching, yoga and an ayurvedic lifestyle. She believes in taking a holistic approach to patient care, embracing all aspects of health – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
