Clifford von Tomb III, or nicknamed "Cory," was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois U.S.A. during the 1980's. An only child of two highly intelligent and well-educated parents, he was raised and reared primarily by his loving four grandparents as his parents seemed to continuously battle within a bitter divorce. After graduating from the Latin School of Chicago, Cliff attended several undergraduate programs before graduating from The University of Kentucky with two bachelor's degrees in English Literature and Integrated Strategic Communications before studying for his Masters degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems. When his beloved grandparents' fell ill to Alzheimer's dementia Cliff then changed his masters focus to Long Term Health Care in graduating from The University of Southern California. He first caught notice, and became interested in, Buddhist, Zen, and Taoist, philosophies, and thought, through his Uncle, Louis Joseph "Jay" Kienlen III, who Cliff is also dedicating this work. He has studied and taught Asian philosophies and religions for over 20-years and has a loving Chinese wife and their young son.
