About the author
Rickman has been enamored with the comic book and illustration field since his Dad taught him to read at age 3 with The Amazing Spider-Man. Honing his craft at The Center for the Media Arts, Caldwell College, and The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, he went on to create some wildly imaginative comics such as "Fishman," "Sock," "The Band" weekly comic strip seen in Kearny's Observer newspaper from 2005-2008 and "The Incredibly Unbalanced Adventures of Bob."
He was hired by the Joe Kubert School in Dover, New Jersey and taught some of the industry's upcoming giants from 2001 to 2005.
His latest work is "Zach Meets the Zombie," published this October by 1313 Publications, is a delightfully monstrous tale of a little boy who would like to go outside to play, but he can't because there is a Zombie outside! Aimed at young tweens and the young-at-heart, "Zach Meets the Zombie" has been getting some high praise in the few weeks since its release. Fans are already waiting for the next books in the series; "Vinnie Meets the Vampire" and "Wesley Meets the Werewolf!"
