ernie 		wreckking crew Just finished Wrecking Crew over the weekend. Common Criminals and Wrecking Crew read fluidly. Read them back to back, and guilty pleasure, loved them despite, and alongside, the venal, feckless, gritty characters and violence. Loved how you held up Joaquin as the moral compass; passing on the predictably violent and failing eventuality of this technically well-honed plan, with everything else about it just wrong. Zilm and Frenchy became a bit more 3 dimensional, (though still not like-able ), Cash and Eddie added a lot of flash, voice of reason, and humor to the caper. Van Zant was painted with razor sharp focus as a lean, mean, all for me-me machine; a hardened prison grad like the thugs that he is hanging with in this deal. The ending made its mark with surprise, and humor, loved your infusion of philosophical voice. 😂 My kind of ending! Laughed out loud a bunch of times throughout. Great hook at the end. Had to go back and look for any clue about what you did with Van Zant-well done! I smell a sequel book brewing😊 Lots of fun and a surprise to me, having put it down initially (when I had a bit of trouble starting Common Criminals) You gave a satisfying ride to this reader who hates pulp fiction🤣 Read more
