About The Author

Sylvio (Syd) A. Gravel, M.O.M., a former police officer, with over 30 years' experience in the Ottawa Police Service, managed an international award-winning diversity change project, which received the 2007 International Association of Chiefs of Police Civil Rights Award. For 10 years, Syd was the officer-in-charge of managing recruiting and training for the Ottawa Police Service. He is passionate about managing change through diversity. Based on his experience, he learned hard-earned tips and techniques to help organizations and businesses become more viable economically and gain the competitive edge.
