Overview
Working With Them is an exploration into properly managing client partnerships. At each stage of the client lifecycle, it is vital you are clearly demonstrating you are on their side. This book walks through 10 stages of a client relationship with strategies and stories to help you "make it as clear as you can that you are on their side, working with them and not against them". Implement these strategies and your clients will become your staunchest advocates to prospective clients.
Description
This is a book about partnership and came about by happenchance. When my son was starting his first job with a career in sales/consulting, we had several conversations concerning my approach with clients over the years. As we continued our conversations, I began to document these discussions for his future reference. Over time, my documenting took the form of this book, Working With Them. Over the past couple decades in sales/consulting/advising, I have hung my hat on a truth I came across during my study time: Make it as clear as you can to all you meet you are on their side, working with them and not against them. This book walks thru 10 stages of your client partnership and discusses the importance of "working with them" at every turn. Each chapter is punctuated with a "Storytime" element to reinforce the thoughts of that section. If you find value in these pages, I hope you will reach out. All of my contact information can be found on the book's back cover.
About the author
Becoming a first-time author was a surprise event for Shane Wingo. In a desire to document a philosophy on proper client partnership for his son who was entering the workforce in a new sales role, a book was born. Married for nearly 30 years with three children and his first grandchild on the way, Shane focuses on how he can support his family in any way possible ... and sometimes the unexpected results in a new creation. With over two decades in advisory consultation, Shane has much to share in the proper way to create and cultivate your client partnerships.
