Jodhaa lives just south of Chicago in a small village in the cornfields of Illinois. She is a retired Art teacher and psychotherapist in Jung's Depth Psychology. Jodhaa was raised Catholic and became interested in Hinduism in college. She spent summers studying Hinduism and Hatha Yoga and learned how to meditate. As in the story, she had past life recalls of being a yogini, a spiritual devotee living in India. She has been to India and visited places that she recalled from her past life, particularly in Agra.
