About the Author Pastor Chuck Chavis is the founder and pastor of Lifeline Church, Lifeline Ministries, and Lifeline Discipleship Homes in Alabama. His passion is helping broken and hurting people find hope, healing, and freedom through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Before coming to Christ, Chuck spent nearly fifteen years trapped in drug addiction, alcoholism, crime, and repeated incarceration. His life was marked by hopelessness, broken relationships, and countless failed attempts to find peace and purpose. After years of living in bondage, Chuck was introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accepted Christ as his Savior on January 3, 2007. That decision forever changed the course of his life. Following his conversion, Chuck dedicated himself to studying God's Word and growing in his faith. He later earned a Bachelor of Divinity degree and was ordained into the Gospel ministry in 2014. Since then, he has devoted his life to preaching, teaching, discipleship, and helping others overcome the same struggles that once controlled his own life.
