WHEN HELEN HIT THE FAN

Middle age Marcie and Nick revive a long ago fling, find love as they face inspection by their boss Helen. Marcie desperately needs her job, has reason to fear inspection; Nick has a bad history with Helen. But both pass, start a life together.

A middle age romance: Marcie the heroine has an aging father, desperately needs her job managing a senior center, and is terrified of upcoming inspection by newly-elected Commissioner Helen. Nick, director of the Arts Program, is also worried because he has a history with Helen and knows she is vindictive. In scurrying to meet the threat Marcie and Nick fall in love. Nick squeaks by his inspection; Marcie's is a total mess. But both survive and look forward to a full, happy life together.

Retired former Engish teacher. Thou he has done considerable writing for theater, this is his first novel. He is working on the second.
