When Avoiding Your Sh*t Is No Longer Serving You
Your emotional bootcamp journal for inner child and shadow work.
by April Pulvermacher

Overview

"Do the shadow work," they said. "It'll be fun," they said. Literally said by no one ever. Let's be honest though, clearly something isn't working well in your life, hence why you're here. So why not try something different? Within these pages, you'll find 4 chapters containing information regarding how trauma effects the brain, coping skills to utilize when you find yourself deep in your feelings, examples on how to effectively get the most out of these questions, as well as plenty of humor and sarcasm sprinkled in. The rest of the book contains 366 questions, one for every day of the year, with plenty of room for you to write inside, creating an all in one restorative experience for your convenience. Healing doesn't have to be complicated, but it can be overwhelming, so I've created this journal to provide an assist to your therapeutic journey. I got you, so let's hop to it and start releasing those limited beliefs!

Description

"When Avoiding Your Sh*t Is No Longer Serving You" is a journaling book for people who want to get to the root of their problems. It's a way to look at how your childhood has impacted your life and how you can heal from that. Everyone has a story, the challenge is, even though your trauma isn't your fault, it is your responsibility to heal now that you're an adult, unfortunately. However, I'm hoping that this journaling activity will provide you the opportunity to be the parent to yourself that you never had or to be the friend and confidant you wish you could have relied on growing up. You are capable of being so much more than you are, it's those limiting beliefs of "It'll always be this way, so what's the point?" or the "Why me?" questions that keep you in this self-sabotaging cycle. Learning to trust ourselves can be difficult, even though we are braver than we give ourselves credit for.
