"When a Bully Becomes a Friend" is the story of how Teakettle the tiny wren and his best friend Shoo Shoo confront a bully. Teakettle gets scared when his peanut is stolen by the Bluejay Kay. When he confides in Shoo Shoo, the little squirrel encourages Teakettle to stand up to Kay and tell her to stop bullying him. Together, they talk to Kay. They're not sure that she got the message… until they need her help. Kay comes through and together the bluejay, the squirrel, and the wren help a doe and a fawn. All three become friends in the end.
Description
"When a Bully Becomes a Friend" is the third book in the series featuring Shoo Shoo the little tree squirrel and his best friend Teakettle, the tiny wren. The story begins when Teakettle unexpectedly meets the bully of the garden. Kay the Bluejay swoops down and steals Teakettle's peanut. Teakettle tells Shoo Shoo what happened and Shoo Shoo convinces Teakettle that he must confront the bully and tell her to stop. Teakettle is too afraid to do it himself and asks his friend Shoo Shoo for help, so Shoo Shoo comes up with a plan to lure the bluejay back. The little squirrel and the tiny wren confront the bully together, but they aren't sure the bullying will stop. Shoo Shoo and Teakettle continue their day and stumble upon a baby deer. When the baby deer gets stuck in a hole and can't get out, the squirrel and the wren try to help.... but they're too small! Will Kay prove that she's done being mean and help save the baby deer?
