This activity book will bring children into the world of their own backyards of wild animals and pets - a simple but interesting way to help them to connect to the responsibilities of having pets, whilst also having fun.  The book asks the questions:  • What animals are living in your backyard?  • What animals are living in the world and how different they are from each country?  • What is involved with looking after pets?  At the end of the book are illustrations for colouring in. Some are more intricate than others, so when the children come to do this activity, there is the choice of many different designs - thus appealing to everyone! You can download printable illustrations for coloring in from the publisher's website.

About the author
Kathleen Walter (née Smith) was born in Canberra, Australia's Capital Territory, and is now living in beautiful Queensland, Australia. She went to school and grew up in the environment of the 1950s and 1960s, with nothing like the technology that is available today. Everything was so different then! Married with three adult children, three grandchildren, pets and friends, Kathleen's life can be very busy!
