In Volcanoes, the first volume of what will be a three-part series, Volcanoes, Butterflies & Jesus: The extraordinary visions of an ordinary woman, author Shelley Zwingli describes her near death experience, and the 44 consecutive hours of extraordinary waking visions that followed. Shelley Anne Zwingli (nee Garchinski) Shelley Anne Garchinski was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in, 1964. Along with her parents and sister she moved to Melfort, Saskatchewan in, 1972 and that͛s where she resided until she graduated from Melfort and Unit Comprehensive Collegiate in 1982. It was through Shelley͛s school years that a love grew for art. In the fall of 1983, she married a local farmer, Trent Zwingli. They had lived their entire married life onthe family up until July, 2017. It was at that time that an opportunity arose to sell the farm and seedcleaning operation. They took a chance on a business change and are now embracing a slower life in the city of Melfort where they are the new owners of the Spiffy Car Wash. During their thirty some years ofmarriage they raised a son (Brennon) and a daughter (Branelle).In April 2013, Shelley faced a sudden medical emergency which found her fighting for her life. During her recovery she had a profound Near Death Experience (NDE) that awoken a few talents that seemed to lay dormant for many years. Since her spiritual awakening, Shelley has re-connected with her God-given gifts of both painting and writing.
