Shelley Anne Garchinski was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1964. Along with her parents and sister she moved to Melfort, Saskatchewan in 1972, residing there until she graduated from Melfort and Unite Comprehensive Collegiate in 1982. (t was through Shelley's school years that a love grew for art.
In the fall of 1982, she married local farmer Trent Zwingli. They had lived their entire married life on the family farm until July 2018. At that time an opportunity arose to sell the farm and seed-cleaning operation. They took a chance on a business and now embrace a slower life in Melfort where they own the Melfort Spiffy Car Wash. During their 30-some years of married life they raised a son, Brennon, and a daughter, Branelle.
In April 2013, Shelley faced a sudden medical emergency in which she found her self fighting for her life. During her recovery she had a profound Near Death Experience (NDE) that awakened talents dormant for years. Since her spiritual awakening, Shelley has reconnected with her God-given gifts of painting and writing.
