Jere Silber is an accomplished writer, director, and producer with over 45 years of experience in television, radio, and theatre. He has received several awards, including recognition for his exceptional camera work on the show "News Counterpoint." In 1999, he won his first Monty Award for writing, producing, and directing a video based on his first children’s book, "Tree Story." An audiobook based on "Tree Story" was included in the Spoken Word category of the 44th Annual Grammy Awards. That same year, he won another Monty award as the producer of "Mister Word Wizard," a television series for children starring Richie Havens.
Following the birth of his granddaughter, Skylar, in 2014, he wrote "Up in the Sky," his second children’s book. His most recent children’s book, "Together," is an ABC book that uses rhymes and large-print text to make learning fun and approachable for young students. The book has been presented with the International Impact Book Award in the category of Children's Education and more recently was presented with an Honorable Mention in the Los Angeles Book Festival. “Together” provides engaging information on insects and animals, helping children learn the alphabet with curiosity as the key to enhancing their ability to focus. It is a valuable resource for educators who want to make learning more enjoyable and engaging for their students and is suitable for children aged 4 to 8 years old.
