Fast-paced, richly detailed, and well developed, this young adult story will be loved by readers of all ages. This is a book that transcends genre and age. Richard and Archie are two very likeable characters. They are smart, responsible, and surprisingly calm given their condition. The addition of their uncle and tutor was great; however it was Richard who drew me into the story. His 'special ability' makes him unique and the way he tackles the situation is handled well. William Long was born in Belfast, N.Ireland. He later emigrated to Canada and America. He returned to N.Ireland to pursue a long and varied career in sales and marketing, which included running his own business designing and producing branded goods for a number of high-profile companies as well as smaller organisations. He later retired and devoted several years to a men's hostel for the homeless in Belfast.

When diagnosed with prostate cancer he wrote the story of his experience, and along with a selection of Irish short stories, published them as a collection in 'An Unexpected Diagnosis'.

He has journeyed extensively gathering ideas for his books, and now concentrates on writing and travelling.
