Tom T. Hall (born May 25th, 1936 in Olive Hill, Kentucky) is an American country music poet, songwriter, singer, novelist, and short-story writer. He has penned 11 No. 1 songs, with 26 more that reached the top 10, including the No. 1 international pop crossover sensation "Harper Valley PTA." Hall's hit "I Love" reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Tom T. Hall is known to fans around the world as "The Storyteller,” an appellation earned from his narrative skills in songwriting. He’s a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Hall received BMI’s prestigious Icon Award and the Academy of Country Music's Poets Award. Hall is retired from public life and lives on his farm in Franklin, Tennessee, near Nashville
