Jason Sterling never meant to put his life or anyone else's in danger. The Genier law firm's excellent reputation assures him all is well when he accepts the unusual job offer with the Genier's personal friend and client. The mysterious and alluring Augere becomes Jason's obsession. He doesn't know that the sumptuous home they share on Beacon Hill in Boston is far from the life in France, or the bayous of Louisiana, where Augere's existence was forever changed. He has yet to learn the secrets of the decaying house in Savannah and its connection to Augere. Jason rationalizes the occurrences of anything unusual even when events on a trip to Europe suggest a reality quite different from what he knows but has begun to suspect. When a terrifying incident convinces him he has been the victim of a dangerous and bitter betrayal he loses everything in an attempt to save his life. In time he comes to realize that putting his former life back together may not be the easiest or wisest decision. Both harrowing and uplifting occurrences continue to divide and reunite the two as their journey becomes a struggle for understanding, acceptance and friendship on their own terms.

Part modern gothic horror, with a bromance aspect, part realistic vampire story, with  some gothic identified characters, and exotic locations. A character driven story that examines the complex relationships between one modern day vampire and the few humans he allows into his world. Humor, mild sexual content, and thought provoking situations. It is about the choices we make, the people who come into our lives who may become our strength, weakness, or just  the catalyst we need;  the lengths we will go to in order to protect our desires.  Find the thing you love and let that kill you.  

I wrote this book for myself foremost because I could not find "my vampire" anywhere else. What started out as one book became three volumes and soon to be four. I have been writing since childhood but this is my first published work. I have personally travelled to all of the places mentioned in the story and continue to travel as much as I can. Some of the incidents described in the books have actually taken place, in some version. I have gone on numerous paranormal investigations; I have always been drawn to French culture and my fascination with vampires existed before I became one of those kids who ran home from grade school to watch Dark Shadows on TV. I am a member of the Transylvania Society of Dracula. I have called Boston home in the past; I'm a frequent visitor to Montreal, and the city of New Orleans, and many places in the South call out to me. I am humbled that Augere has allowed me to write his story.
