About The Author

Stephenson was born and raised just outside of Dallas, Texas.

Over the years they've had stints in the New York, Rome and the Pacific Northwest. After earning graduate degrees in both English and Creative Writing, they've recently settled back into Brooklyn to start work on their PhD in Comparative Literature.

The World When Young is Stephenson's teenaged self-published collection of travel shorts, influenced heavily by William Finnegan, Anthony Bourdain and Joan Didion.

They can elsewhere be found writing on surfing, Italo Calvino, the Queens food scene, postmodernism and minor league baseball. Their fiction and poetry appears in Vol. 1 Brooklyn, The Open Doors Review, Sequoya Magazine and the Washington State Queer Poetry Anthology.
