Using the Active-Isolated techniques introduced in The Whartons' Stretch Book ("Athletes rave about the program..."-USA Today), you'll learn how to create a personal training program backed by sound scientific principles and specifically tailored to your unique health and fitness goals. "The Whartons' Strength Book can serve as a personal trainer in a unique system of working individual muscles to attain not only greater strength but also improved general health. Description

The Whartons’ Complete Strength Book is a comprehensive catalogue of The Whartons Strength Zone®, featuring active isolated strength exercises, covering all five zones of the body. This head-to-toe  joint-integrity strength system allows you to uniquely target individual muscles, thus addressing key areas that are often missed by other strength training methods.  These omissions of strength are key components of muscular imbalances.  Relevant conditions include but are not limited to: back pain including scoliosis and disk issues; hip pain; IT band syndrome; knee conditions including patellar tendonitis; lower leg and foot pain including Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis; rotator cuff issues; neck pain, including “text neck”; tennis elbow; RSI and carpal tunnel syndrome.  With exercises that can be performed anywhere, this is the ultimate program for the solutions oriented DIYer.

The extensive list of top athletes with which the Whartons have worked includes (but is not limited to) - Khalid Khannouci (former American record holder in the marathon); Meb Keflezighi (American marathoner, Olympic silver medalist, and champion of both the New York City and Boston Marathons); Magdalena Lewy Boulet (Champion of 2008 US Marathon Olympic Trials); Lopez Lomong (Olympian); Matthew Centrowitz, Jr. (Olympian, 2013 U.S Outdoor Track and Field 1500 meter Champion); Olympic medalist swimmers such as Anthony Nesty, Nelson Diebel, Alison Wagner, and Jenny Thompson; track and field sprinting legend Michael Johnson; professional football players the likes of Art Monk and Dhani Jones.

“While performing in films and training for marathons, I suffered disk herniations. I was a mess — pain, atrophy, weakness, numbness. Once Wharton Performance got their hands on me, I was right back on my feet. I was blown away by the knowledge, passion, and commitment that Jim and Phil have for what they do.” —William Baldwin, actor

“[The Whartons’] stretching and strengthening programs that take 15 to 20 minutes a day, cured my 5-year problems. I finally made the 2000 Olympics, injury-free, and broke 3 Irish records en route. This could not have been possible without the Wharton Performance team.” —Mark Carroll, Irish national record holder in the 3,000 and 5,000 meter runs

“With the Whartons’ program, there’s no limit to what you want to do. You can improve as much as you want in the areas you’d like, and you can tailor the program specifically to your needs.” —Chris Martin, former coach of the Great Britain national swim team and the U.S. Olympic and national swim teams, and coach of an Olympic gold medalist

"The best thing that's happened to me during my running career was being able to be treated By Jim and Phil Wharton. Their stretching therapy has helped me recover faster from injuries and from my stressful training. With their therapy I am able to train better due to increases in my level of flexibility and strength. I have captured 2 World Record's in marathons (2h05:42/2h05:38) while in the care of Jim and Phil Wharton." - Khalid Khannouchi, Former Marathon World Record Holder
