David Heryet grew up next to the ocean in San Diego, then got his bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara. He later moved to the Lake Tahoe Area becoming a carpenter and contractor, then went to law school in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has worked as a consultant in the construction industry for more than 30 years, and served on the board of a non-profit medical provider. He is also a photographer and musician.
