About the author
Lorena Gomez-Maese is a native Californian born in San Pedro, a coastline of Souther California. Lorena and her family have lived here for 6 generations, her family is an artistic one. Lorena started dance lessons at the ages of 4 and she has danced in 2 professional dance companies. For the past 5 decades she has taught, directed, choreographed, and produced her own theater, everywhere, from the streets to the stage. Lorena is married with 3 children and 8 grand-children. She wrote this ballet because she is all about tradition, and culture. It was time to write a short inspirational story, and due to the device generation, it was important for her grandkids to experience tradition, culture, theatre, music, and dance.

Beautiful story! Come dance with Faith on the whimsical cobblestone streets of Granada! Faith needs to overcome her doubts in her ability in becoming a skilled dancer, due to using a brace on her leg. In fact, her heart desires to be a crowned dancer in the annual Spanish Swan parade. With the loving encouragement of her maestra and family, Faith proves that what was thought as impossible is in fact possible. With perseverance, she proves she can overcome her disability and achieve her dream. The author Lorena Gomez-Maese tells the story through bright, colorful, and delightful drawings by the talented illustrator Hannah Ogletree. Join Faith in her diligent dancing journey to dance in the Spanish Swan parade. Bravo! was thinking .......as a former teacher this is a great book to read to primary students. I felt empowered.
