The Shar Dynasty

An evil, malignant spirit, known to the Chinese as a Shar, has wreaked havoc on mankind through the possession of human hosts through the centuries. The Shar has caused indiscriminate mass murders and serial killing with impunity. When its host is caught, imprisoned or executed, it simply moves on to the next surrogate. The Shar has arrived in the densely populated New York City metropolitan area - a perfect killing field - and resumes its reign of terror through an unwitting and vulnerable accountant. As the killing resumes, the historical pattern is recognized by a county historian. She tries to warn the authorities of what they are dealing with, but with no success. She enlists the aid of a paranormal investigator and together they begin to track the evil entity with the intent of finally ridding the living world of its presence.
