Overview
"The Remarkable Tale of a Whale", was originally published by P.F. Volland Company in 1920. It is described as a, "rollicking nonsense rhyme". In this delightful rhyme the story is told about a whale that wants to take a tour of the land and meet its inhabitants.
Description
The author, Isa L. Wright, used rhyme to hep young readers learn and enjoy reading. It's central character is a King Whale that befriends children and takes them on a flying tour of the land. Kimberly Simpson has restored and updated the images. She has also given definitions to some of the old English terms that are used. It is designed as a teaching aide but will also generate lots of smiles.
About the author
Kimberly Simpson, a native of Colorado, has spent most of her professional life restoring vintage children's stories. It originally began with taking the wonderful illustrations and printing them on fabric to be made into quilts. As computer technology has evolved so has Kimberly's.
