Little Red Riding Hood

This is the restored version of the classic children's story, Little Red Riding Hood. This book was illustrated by Mildred Wetmore and published in 1941 by the Whitman Publishing Company.

This is the classic children's story of Little Red Riding Hood. It was originally published in 1941.

My earliest memories include images of quilting looms, sewing machines and fabric. Every generation before me, from my Mother to my Grandmother and even my Great Grandmother have created wonderful works of craft art using fabric and needlework. They were also equally passionate about books and education. In the early 1960’s my Mother put together in our home a wonderful library of children’s books. Recently I started going through these books. I was fascinated by the timelessness of the illustrations. The beginning of the 20th Century was a real renaissance of talent in children’s book illustrations. Color was just beginning to appear in the print media. In addition to making these illustrations in to Quilt Block Kits for sale I have wanted to reintroduce today’s young readers to these classic children’s stories. These are the actual stories published many generations of children ago. I have restored the images on to a digital video format. The colors sparkle and will delight the reader.
