The Real Deal of School Counseling

The Real Deal of School Counseling is a book for those who are in an advanced degree program through those who have been in the counseling profession for many years. This book also allows for the parent, student, and any other person a glimpse into the world of school counseling from kindergarten through twelfth grade. 

Christopher Gadsden, wrote "The Real Deal of School Counseling" as a realistic overview of the current state of school counseling. A 17 year veteran, he felt the need to write this book to encourage those involved counseling interns, supporting students, and being part of a counseling team. This book is for everyone from the counseling intern to all who support students in private and public institutions. Use the information from those who have more then 25+ years of experienced who were surveyed to share stories and practical guidelines to follow in the world of education. 

Christopher Gadsden, has 17+ years of experience in positively contributing to public and private school education from kindergarten through 12th grades. Having taught middle and high school, student association director, and psychology adjunct professor has allowed for true understanding of the needed support a school counselor can have in a school system. I have demonstrated leadership across schools of differing sizes and academic levels, from elementary to higher education; readily engaging struggling students with programs and initiatives designed to address their needs.
