Harold Morris had dramatically contrasting influences early in life. After growing up in relative affluence, with a live-in maid, his parents divorced before his teenage years. Shortly thereafter, he and his mother, and younger brother moved into a one room apartment, just a few blocks from one of the toughest ghettoes in America. This valuable life experience taught him how to persevere, and provided many friendships with people from all walks of life. This caused him to become a firm believer that the chief difference and “comparative advantage” that people possess is not based primarily on “ability," but rather on “know-how." He witnessed firsthand that people are often innocently “destroyed through lack of knowledge," as it says within the Bible.
His cherished goal became to provide one book with all the vital information someone needed to “forge a victory in their personal life!" The author set about gaining all the information necessary for this book, which took approximately 35 years to acquire. During which time he began his career as a furniture salesperson, eventually becoming the store manager. He subsequently owned a piano store, an advertising agency, a delivery service, authored 5 books, and built a multilevel marketing business with over 3,000 people in his organization.
The early years were “formative” in yet another way for the author. He realized then that there was something “definitely wrong” with the formal educational system, not only in the glaring lack of important "life skills" training, but also in the ineffective way in which “subject matter” is presented in all schools. Now that he finally understands exactly what needs to be done to improve performance in the classroom, he is on a mission to dramatically improve the way we teach!
