The Island's Island

Ten-year-old Lilly is on vacation with her parents and tutor on a Greek island, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their long-time family-friends to arrive. When they arrive, Lilly sets off with Lydia and Iason to explore their favorite place, a tiny island just off the shore of their vacation island, where they stumble upon a secret tunnel they had never noticed before. An altercation with their parents leads them to keep their tunnel a secret and go back the next day with food and flashlights to go on an adventure. Together they explore the tunnel, having no idea that it was built during a war to help hide people and care for their wounds. The trio moves deeper into the tunnel, discovers a door, and quickly finds themselves trapped on the other side. With limited options, they continue further into the tunnel only to find an exit guarded by uniformed men. Iason gets captured, and it's up to Lilly and Lydia to find more supplies, free Iason, and navigate their way back through the tunnel. During this time, their parents are thrown into a panic trying to find their children. The entire island is searching high and low until two parents stumble upon the tunnel just as an explosion causes a partial collapse of the passage—but it's up to the kids to set everything back to how it was.
