Overview
Finally, a book on education that is definitely not boring. A refreshing discussion of the events and social issues which have had an influence on American education. It takes you places where nobody else will dare go. Exposes the destructive influence that "cancel culuture", "critical race theory" and "wokeism" have had on our public schools. Well researched and teeming with facts. Amazing account of the transformation of our public schools spanning a seventy-year period. Very anecdotal in many instances based on the author's personal experiences as a student, teacher, and advocate for better schools. A must read !

About the author
Educator, lecturer, author, historian, and advocate for better schools. Bob has written and spoken publicly in support of American values and against the destruction of our educational system brought about by "cancel culture", "critical race theory", and "wokeism" which he collectively refers to as the "unholy trinity". As a teacher, he single-handedly took on the teachers' unions, public school officials, and town bureaucrats in a first in the nation legal and political battle to remove asbestos from the school building in which he had been a teacher. His efforts served as a paradigm for other communities to follow in their attempts to ensure the health and safety of their schoolchildren. In addition, he fought to eliminate toxic drinking water at the school. His actions led to the EPA regulation known as the Lead and Copper Rule.
