About the author
Yuichi Amano was born and grew up in Yokohama, Japan. Just like one of the mice in this book, Yuichi has been trying very hard to control the things matter to him. But the more he tried to control, the more he failed. There have been cases his intolerance of a minor issue ended up spoiling the entire thing. Yuichi is trying not to repeat the same mistake in raising his son. He remembers there were many cases things turned around, once he stopped trying to control everything. 'The flower buds' is Yuichi's second children's book, following his first book 'My dad's hat'. Yuichi lives with his wife, son, and dog in Seattle, Washington.
