Overview
An unnamed American city. Perhaps the near future. Perhaps this timeline, perhaps a similar one. Drawing inspiration from the French Resistance of WWII and George Orwell's "1984," The Ex-Pat's Dinner explores America through dual storylines. A group of twenty-something friends living under the oppressive regime of The Reformists find they can hide no longer and must fight for their freedom. A group of seventy-year-old friends have won their freedom and now find themselves in a strange new world. The story looks at the decisions we make under pressures, the costs of owning our actions, and the paradox of having faith in our beliefs and believing in our faith.
Description

A coming of age story set against the backdrop of a dystopian society. The novel explores dual timelines of a group of friends, one as they face their roles in the world, and one dealing with those decisions. The story deals with being true to yourself and what one knows is right, even if the whole world's seemingly against you.
