About the author
An Australian flutist and educator, Nicola Hayden started teaching her next-door neighbour to play the flute over 20 years ago and has been teaching ever since. She holds a Master of Music degree and has studied with some of the world's leading flutists in Australia, the US and the UK. She has taught students from age 6 to 60 in the home studio, school and tertiary settings. Teaching in itself has also been Nicola’s greatest teacher and so she has a keen interest in mentoring young flute players embarking on a teaching career.
