About the author
Doug Eberhart bought his first Deringer in 1950 when he was 12 years old, for $2.00. He still has that gun. Throughout his adult life he has written over 50 articles on all types of Deringers, both Cartridge as well as Percussion types. He is the author of 3 previous books on the subject “The Deringer in America Vol. I The Percussion Models”, “The Deringer in America Vol. II The Cartridge Models”, and “Henry Deringers Pistols, From 1826 to 1870.” Mr Eberhart enjoys the reputation of being the top expert in this field.
