About The Author


Ray Platt began his lifelong journey helping others through service in the Army. After receiving an honorable discharge, Ray then began working as a psychiatric aide at a state hospital—where he seized the opportunity to improve his psychiatric expertise and complete in a nursing program to earn his R.N. credentials. Not stopping there, Ray continued his education with a bachelor's degree in psychology and entered his graduate studies. Influenced by a spiritual experience, he developed an interest in pastoral counseling and proceeded to earn his Master of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School. Only three years later, Ray was licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, allowing him to diagnose and treat mental disorders. Through his private practice, he helped clients understand that a meaningful life involved embracing God through Jesus Christ. Ray is a humble man who frequently helps others—whether through buying food, shoveling snow, repairing homes for the elderly, visiting the sick, or simply listening and chatting with passersby. He often steps in for minsters when they are sick or on vacation and enjoys giving lectures on various scripture-related topics. A philanthropist to the core, he refuses to accept monetary compensation for his work helping others.
