Overview

The Art of Knowing God Through Faith, Prayer, and Knowledge by Raymond Platt explores the deepening of a Christian's relationship with God. It emphasizes integrating faith, prayer, reason, and knowledge to understand scripture and live a meaningful Christian life. The work draws on theological foundations, biblical analysis, and practical spiritual guidance, aiming to encourage humility, inquiry, and community engagement in faith. Part of this analysis includes asking questions that begin with who, when, what, where, and why, and using commentaries and other resources that help. Throughout the book, Raymond emphasizes that our belief in Jesus Christ serves as the foundation for every study. Beginning and ending each critique with prayer reminds us of our humility and our desire to deepen our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Description

I had Professors, Clergy, and seasoned Laypeople in mind when I wrote this book. However, anyone who desires to critique the text is encouraged to study it so they can use who, what, when, where, and why questions to gain a deeper understanding. The journey will at times seem difficult, but the knowledge gained will be worth the effort. No doubt, group study, classroom, and Bible study groups will enhance the experience.
