Strange things are happening in the small town of Rocky Mountain View and the town folks are scared. Nine-year-old Presley Pickens is once again on the case! After finding a small engraved locket with the picture of a young girl buried in the dirt near the train tracks and surrounded by drops of blood, Presley and her faithful dog Argo follow the trail of blood to a locked door hidden in the depths of the underground library parking lot. From here the mystery begins to open up. Presley, Argo and Presley's best friend Ashly find a code on the butterfly graffiti that they're able to decipher. This code leads them to a very old man who knows of the secrets of the town's past, and reveals to Presley and Ashly that there are hidden tunnels that run under the streets of Rocky Mountain View and ghosts that haunt them. Once they learn the real truth about these tunnels and who is really haunting them, they must work quickly to save some very innocent victims, before it's too late!

Ghostly-like mists appear without warning, shooting up from storm-drains along the streets—glowing objects come out at night and float through the town—stores are being broken into with no obvious way of entry—strange brightly-colored butterfly graffiti have begun appear on fences and buildings. The people of Rocky Mountain View are scared. Nine-year-old Presley Pickens is once again on the case! Along with her faithful dog, Argo, and her best friend, Ashly, Presley sets out to figure out what's going on. After finding a small engraved locket with the picture of a young girl and her parents buried in the dirt near the train tracks and surrounded by drops of blood, Presley and Argo, follow the trail of blood to a locked door hidden in the depths of the underground library parking lot. About The Author

Christy Scollin, graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1977 with a degree in Animal Science and a Children's Center Certificate. After college she went on to enjoy a career in the field of science, including working as a biochemist, a histotech, a winemaker, and teaching a chemistry lab class at Mendocino College. Although enthusiastic about her work in the field of science, she has always enjoyed children and writing. This enthusiasm led her to start writing children's stories in 2012. Christy has written a series of middle grade books about a spunky girl detective which include; The Adventures of Presley Pickens, The Adventures of Presley Pickens-Case of the Home Burglaries, and The Adventures of Presley Pickens- Case of the Mysterious Happenings. Prior to that her other literary works include several short stories, two memoirs, and a chemistry lab book. Her memoir, Our Journey to Mount Whitney, won first place in a recent writing contest and was published in The Noyo River Review, Vol 6. Currently she's working on a middle grade novel about a Native American boy during the 1800's. She's a member of SCBWI, has attended numerous writer's conferences and workshops, and is currently part of a local Ukiah, children's writers' group. For fun Christy loves reading, writing, hiking, working with animals, gardening, traveling, spending time in nature, and being with her family and grandchildren.
